Dirk van Reenen is an accomplished entrepreneur, leadership coach, and expert in business development. With a career spanning over two decades, Dirk has founded and led several ventures including 3 successful exits and operating 2 current ventures.
It didn't start that way though, Dirk is a first generation immigrant from South Africa. His family left everything behind when he was 14 years old and started over with nothing in a small Texas agricultural town. Dirk began working on farms and ranches at that time and has continued to work since then. He also lost his first business at age 27 after being a business owner for 6 years in his 20’s and went through 5 years of financial hell with his wife Kristin and baby son Jaxson.
At the age of 31 Dirk had enough of deep financial struggle and the anguish of massive debt and not being able to pay bills or adequate provide for his family and he realized he was missing some sort of information. He began a ferocious journey of studying, reading, seeking out successful mentors and coaches and that journey began to completely transform his life.
Within 3 years Dirk became the CEO of an $800,000,000/ year sales organization overseeing an executive team of 13 people with 500 sales people leading one of the top single location real estate offices in the world and he learned a whole new level of thinking, leadership, execution, and how to approach success. At the end of 2016 he resigned from his corporate position and launched BERGflow in January of 2017. BERGflow specializes in helping service companies build remarkable teams through finding, recruiting, and hiring talented people and helping them work together to accomplish more within these companies.
He is also the founder of BERGflow Launchpad, Micro Private Equity company holding a portfolio of businesses such as MERUS Adventure- the largest outdoor adventure park in Texas, POSTO Homes- small home & cabin manufacturing, and investments in other service related companies.

First and foremost Dirk is a husband and father. He and his wife Kristin have been married for 18 years and they homeschool their two children. They love the opportunity to take a very active role in the education and development of their children and creating lifelong memories. Dirk loves spending time with his family and friends and traveling for adventures in beautiful locations hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and off-roading.
Since 2017 when Dirk launched BERGflow and began following a different path for building businesses he’s been able to spend 2-3 months a year traveling while building multiple companies and teaches his clients how to the the same using the Talent Acquisition Systems of BERGflow that he created.
